37m Dubois performance cruising sloop Bliss joins market

19 April 2024 • Written by Nick Jeffery

The 36.8-metre sailing yacht Bliss has joined the market with Will Bishop of Superyacht Partners.

Built of composite GRP in New Zealand by Yachting Developments and delivered in 2009, Bliss has recently undergone a "comprensive refit" and offers both "luxurious comfort and regatta-winning performance".

Bliss is asking €9,500,000 and will be on display at the Palma International Boat Show.

Designed by Dubois Naval Architects, and boasting the trademark Dubois wraparound windshield, her contemporary interior was worked up by Design Unlimited.

She accommodates an owner's party of six to eight in three spacious cabins situated aft of the saloon, comprising a full-beam double master with Pullman, a double cabin and a twin cabin with Pullman. A raised saloon, above the engine room, invites relaxation with a U-shaped sofa to port, surrounding the dining table, and an L-shaped sofa to starboard. Five crew have three cabins forward and enjoy a spacious mess opposite the galley, which has its own sit-up bar.

The recess in the foredeck, where the tender is stowed when underway, converts to a hot tub for relaxation at anchor. Aft, the twin wheels are protected from the sun by the hard bimini top, onto which the main sheet is attached. Guests have the choice of sitting securely forward of the helm, shaded by the bimini, or venturing out to the more exposed seating area on the aft deck, where the exhilarating speed is better felt.

The DNV-classed, 153GT yacht for sale has a cruising speed of 11 knots under her 510hp Caterpillar engine and can reach a top speed of 14 knots – higher under sail with asymmetric flying. The performance racer-cruiser has a draft of 4 metres and her range is 3,686 nautical miles under power. Equipment is top of the range, with carbon-fibre Hall Spars, Reckman furlers, Harken winches and Miele galley and laundry equipment.

Bliss is asking €9,500,000 and will be on display at the Palma International Boat Show.
