The Voyager's Award: Deadline for Submissions Extended Please note that due to considerable interest, the closing date for submissions for the Voyager’s Award has now been extended to Thursday 29 April 2010. Proudly sponsored by Porto Montenegro, the Voyager’s Award will be presented to the owner or charterer of a yacht of over 30 metres in length that has undertaken a voyage of an unusual or exploratory nature between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2009. The winner will be invited to attend the World Superyacht Awards gala evening at London’s Guildhall on Saturday 22 May 2010, where they will be presented with the coveted Neptune trophy. Entrants will be required to submit the following information: 1) A Brief Account of the Cruise. The length of this account should not exceed two typewritten A4 pages (approximately 1,500 words). The text should include a definite start and finish point and relate noteworthy events and landfalls along your route. 2) A Chart showing the track of your yacht. This should be marked up to show significant stopping places and should also indicate your progress by showing dates at suitable intervals along the track. 3) Photographs taken during the voyage. Please submit up to 30 photographs in .jpg format with a file size suitable for viewing on a computer screen (40cm x 20cm at 80dpi – 15in x 8in at 80dpi). 4) Further information. Within the absolute limit that your complete submission, excluding photographs, should not exceed six A4 pages you are invited to submit any further information that you would like the judges to consider.
