Second Mangusta Oceano 39 model launched

10 May 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine Group, has launched the second unit in its new Mangusta Oceano 39 series in Viareggio, Italy.

The entry-level model belongs to Mangusta Yachts' displacement line and has been commissioned by an American owner.

Her Alberto Mancini exterior is characterised by straight lines, all-glass gunwales and a minimalist aesthetic. The shipyard's technical department and Verme Projects also cooperated on the design, which is likened to an "ocean-going glass villa".

The model features "all the elements that have made the Mangusta Oceano series an outstanding commercial success in the United States," according to president Stefano Arlunno. This includes floor-to-ceiling glazing on the main and upper decks and the beach house, which has two sea-level side terraces that can open up at the push of a button.

The infinity pool is also a design signature, located on the bow and fitted with a partial glass bottom that allows light to filter through to the master cabin below, which benefits from its own fold-out balcony. The remaining guest accommodation comprises four cabins on the lower deck.

While details are undisclosed, the interiors and layout are fully custom and conceived "by the shipyard's design team putting the owner at the very heart of the entire design process."

Fitted with twin MTU long-range engines, this unit can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 2,250 nautical miles.

The news follows the recent launch of the third Mangusta 165 REV model, Perfetto.
