The vision that Sir Stanley kept with him from the tender age of 15 years old was of a beautiful yacht, owned by Sir Bernard and Lady Docker, coming to moor in London. 'I was totally awe-struck and promised myself that, one day, I would build a yacht of a similar size, around 55 metres', he says.

After scouring the pages of Boat International for ideas, Sir Stanley decided that the work he most admired was by designer Andrew Winch and this is where he entrusted his vision.

The exterior styling of the yacht in particular is very different from anything that Benetti has built to date: low, streamlined and curvaceous, it has been likened to a large bird taking flight.

The versatility of the yacht is its main strength, packing in more possibilities for fun and entertainment than any comparable yacht. No one should ever be bored on Xanadu.

The sundeck set for informal eating, or for a real party. The sunpads can be removed to allow two running machines to be used. One of three skylights floods light down onto the table in the Tuscan palazzo below.

The galley is equipped to offer fine dining and informal eating, and with two chefs on board you can really indulge.

After a workout, head for the spa room for some luxurious pampering

The large spa pool is separated from the bar area by a clear screen which, with a special film, becomes a television screen for viewing in the bar or spa at the same time!
