Porto Montenegro – “The New Port of Cool” (The Financial Times, June 2009) The world is already talking about Montenegro’s stunning beauty and that has as much to do with Porto Montenegro as it does with Montenegro’s unspoiled coastline. Canadian entrepreneur Peter Munk had the vision to see Montenegro’s potential as a nautical playground long before most, and in surrounding himself with a group of equally visionary investors has established Montenegro as the premier yachting destination in the Mediterranean. Porto Montenegro’s marina opened in June 2009 with 85 berths on two
jetties. In June 2010, jetties 3 and 4 will provide another 100-plus
berths, the first residential buildings will be complete, the Lido pool
opens and there will be restaurants, shops and cafés to enjoy.
