Presenting the winners of the 19th Annual ShowBoats International Awards

Tony Harris, CEO of Boat International Media, hosted a full house of 350 guests at the 19th annual ShowBoats International Awards ceremony in Fort Lauderdale on October 31, 2009.

Best Sailing Yacht Interior: Bristolian
Best Series Motor Yacht Interior under 50 Metres: Celestial Hope
Best Series Motor Yacht Interior 50 Metres and over: Norwegian Queen
Best Custom Motor Yacht Interior Under 60 Metres: Latinou
Best Custom Motor Yacht Interior 60 Metres and Over: Siren
Most Innovative Yacht Under 60 Metres: Sea Force One
Most Innovative Yacht 60 to 99 Metres: Predator
Most Innovative Yacht 100 Metres and Over: A
Best Semi-Displacement/planing Motor Yacht: Lazy Me
Best Motor Yacht Under 50 Metres: Ingot
Best Motor Yacht 50 to 75 Metres: Vive la Vie
Best Motor Yacht Over 75 Metres: Nero
The Flagship Award was given post-humously to Kaye Pearson in honour of his lifetime achievement in making the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show the largest in the world. With a heartfelt and emotional speech, the award was presented to Kaye’s wife Cheri by his yacht captain, Howard Haines.
At the conclusion of the award ceremony, guests celebrated with the winners at the after party. Cocktails and champagne flowed freely and guests danced to the sounds of cover-band, Soul Survivor until the early-morning hours.
