The Young Designer of the Year Award Competition 2009

The competition is open to anyone who is studying for a degree or vocational qualification in a subject related to yacht or small craft design, or anyone who has already graduated within three years of the closing date for entries (31st January 2009).

A world-class judging panel comprised of the industry's leading designers and industry members will meet in London early next year to decide which aspiring young designer will take home the prestigious award and €5,000 prize money.

The winner will be invited to accept the award at the World Superyacht Awards gala evening on 15th May 2009 and attend the Superyacht Design Symposium in New York City on 26th and 27th October 2009.

"The award ceremony was spectacular.  I met a lot of industry lead designers and builders that night and the award really boosted my career.  I had a few offers on the table on the night and made a lot of great contacts."
