Dates confirmed for 2013 Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous

Boat International Media and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda are pleased to confirm that the third edition of the Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous will take place March 20 - 23, 2013 at the YCCS Virgin Gorda.

Racing conditions in the idyllic British Virgin Islands are some of the very best in the world and the event is fast becoming an important fixture on the Caribbean superyacht racing circuit, conveniently scheduled just prior to the St Barths Bucket.

Testimonials from recent participants lead us to believe that the next edition of this unique event will be the best attended yet, with a strong fleet of sail and motor yachts already registered for 2013.

A diverse fleet of sailing yachts includes the 115ft F-Class Firefly, Huisman's 156ft Hyperion, Fitzroy's 122ft Moonbird and 147ft Salperton, 125ft P2 by Perini Navi and 100ft Indio from Wally Yachts.

Motor yachts joining the Rendezvous include Feadship's 223ft Lady Christine, 130ft Resolute by Westport Yachts and Burger's 110ft Chanticleer.

True to his word, the owner of Indio commented at last year’s prize giving: ‘It was a lot of fun. Even if we hadn’t won, it was a fantastic regatta. It’s my first time here and we will definitely come back next year to defend our title.’

The Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous brings sail and motor yacht owners together to enjoy three days of racing, fun activities and a first class social program set in the beautiful surroundings of Virgin Gorda and her neighboring islands.

The event welcomes sailing and motor yachts with a LOA over 80ft. Berthings are limited so please register your interest in attending without delay to secure your place in the fleet.
