All three promotions are effective immediately, both Kate and Lauren will report into Marilyn who also retains editorial control over our annual publications: The Superyachts , the Megayachts and Refit.

Tony Harris, CEO and Publisher at Boat International Media said:  “I am delighted to welcome Kate Simpson Lardy back to ShowBoats International, a magazine that she originally worked on as a senior editor for five years between 2000 and 2005.

Kate has tremendous experience in this industry and her success with Dockwalk over the last five years have proved her skills as an editor as she turned Dockwalk into the world’s No. 1 captains and crew magazine and website.

I am also pleased to promote Lauren Beck to Editor of Dockwalk. She has been the Managing Editor on the title for the last five years and I can think of no one better qualified to take on the role.

These three appointments confirm our commitment to the U.S. superyacht market and our appointment of Marilyn Mower to the new position of Editorial Director-USA will ensure that our U.S.-produced magazines and their digital versions will be steered by the most capable and experienced helmswoman in the marine press today.”
