Program announced for the Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous 2011

The Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous will take place March 16–20, 2011 in the idyllic setting of Virgin Gorda, in the British Virgin Islands. Open to both motor and sailing yachts this family friendly event will bring together like minded yacht owners for four days of on the water activities, racing and a glamorous Caribbean social program.
The impressive list of yachts that have already registered their interest in attending so far includes a fleet of the latest Dubois designs: the new 192ft Kokomo, 163ft Zefira and the newly launched 189ft Twizzle from Royal Huisman, as well as the 135ft J-Class Ranger and her mothership, Trinity’s 150ft Vita, two 130ft Westports: Constellation and Resolute, and Burger’s classic 108ft motor yacht Chanticleer.

Three days of superyacht racing in the prime sailing conditions of the BVI are being organized by Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The fleet will be split into racing, cruising and non-spinnaker classes under the IRC rating system.
Aside from being encouraged to follow the racing and enjoy the spectacle of the sailing fleet, guests onboard the motoryachts will enjoy a tender Treasure Hunt around North Sound and a Cruise-in-Company as well as water sports and a Beach Day at Oil Nut Bay. The highlight of the event will be the Saturday night ‘Full Moon Party’ at Oil Nut Bay.
Known by many as the “yachting capital of the Caribbean,” the BVI is the perfect setting for this unique gathering of some of the world’s largest, loveliest, and fastest sailing superyachts and an equally stellar collection of motor yachts.
The Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous welcomes motor and sailing yachts of 80 feet in length and above.
