CharterFleet International adds global distribution for 2011 edition

November 23, 2010

Now readying the 19th edition of its highly regarded catalog of the finest luxury yachts for charter and the world’s most exciting cruising destinations, Publisher Tony Harris confirmed yesterday that the 2011 edition of CharterFleet International will have significant distribution for the first time in Asia and Europe, expanding the availability of charter information to a growing customer base in Europe, Russia and China.

CharterFleet International has been published annually since 1992 by ShowBoats International, the leading luxury yacht magazine in the U.S. CharterFleet depicts the finest yachts available for crewed charter at popular cruising spots and exotic destinations and showcases the charter lifestyle in a quality, soft-cover book format.

“Since Boat International Media acquired ShowBoats last year, we have been steadily leveraging the power of ShowBoats International and Boat International Media's global portfolio, the best and most established magazine brands in this arena,” Associate Publisher, Ben Farnborough told a group of charter agents with the Florida Yacht Brokers Association last week. “This is a significant step in expanding the reach of charter agents and brokers in the U.S. and Europe, and in bringing awareness of the wonderful opportunity of yacht charter holidays to a wider audience. The globalization of CharterFleet International takes the title to an entirely new level; it’s an offering that cannot be matched.”

For 2011, in addition to U.S. circulation beginning at the Miami International Boat Show in February, CharterFleet will be distributed by mail to all paid subscribers of Boat International Media’s portfolio including Boat International (U.K. and International), Mer & Bateaux (France), Meer & Yachten (Germany) and the top 500 most qualified subscribers of both Boat International Russia and Boat International China. Additional distribution includes the world’s most important boat shows and all major ShowBoats and Boat International Media and partner events.

The entire publication also will be presented on line through charterfleet.com.

CharterFleet International is written and designed by the Fort Lauderdale-based editorial team of ShowBoats International magazine. Marilyn Mower, part of the magazine’s original founding team and executive editor of CharterFleet for many years, has returned to edit the 2011 edition in her role as Acting Editor-in-Chief of ShowBoats International magazine.

“We believe the international distribution and the electronic component of this year’s edition makes it not only unique, but the best value in marketing luxury yachts for charter to potential clients around the globe,” said Farnborough. “ And, as in the past, we will make it possible for brokerage houses to customize CharterFleet International with their own custom covers.”

Note to Brokers, Charter Agents, Captains and Yacht Owners: Marketing opportunities via CharterFleet International and its electronic versions are available only until early January.
